On Wednesday, the makers of Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihab's Ithiri Neram unveiled the film's teaser. It is directed by Prasanth Vijay, who previously helmed critically acclaimed indie features such as Athisayangalude Venal and Daayam.

The teaser of Ithiri Neram opens with the social activist Maithreyan saying, “If you look closely, each house is an antisocial establishment. A modern society should rebuild this structure,” during a talk show titled Ithiri Neram (A Little While), hosted by Roshan.

We then see Roshan and Zarin sharing a quiet moment at night, followed by a scene of the couple sitting in a bar. Zarin says, “I’m not active on social media lately, so I’ve missed the latest developments. But I sometimes listen to your Ithiri Neram episodes.” Roshan playfully responds, “So you stalk me, eh?” to which Zarin laughs it off, saying, “Come on... It’s just that you don’t get a chance. If I had been on Facebook, we would’ve known.”

The teaser closes with another moment between the two, this time in daylight, where Zarin asks, “Didn’t you forget something?” as Roshan looks on, confused. The film promises to be a tender, urban romantic drama exploring second chances.

Scripted by Vishak Shakti, Ithiri Neram has a tagline that reads, "First love gets a second chance." The film also stars Nandu, Anand Manmadhan, Jeo Baby, Athulya Sreeni, Kannan Nayar, Sarita Nair, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Amal Krishna, Shainu RS, Srinesh Pai, Sreekala Suresh, Akhilesh GK, Manoharan and Shereef Thampanoor. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Rakesh Dharan, editing by Francies Louis, and music and lyrics by Basil CJ.

Presented by filmmaker Jeo Baby, Ithiri Neram is jointly backed by Jomon Jacob, Dijo Augustine, Einstin Zac Paul, Vishnu Rajan, and Sajin S Raj. The film is expected to hit theatres later this year.
