Nivin Pauly's birthday is made more special for fans with the teaser release of his upcoming film Sarvam Maya. Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum-fame Akhil Sathyan is directing the film, which he describes as a musical romantic drama centred on a ghost, with elements of fantasy and humour.

The teaser begins in a typical horror mood: a sprawling mansion in the night with thunderstorm in the background, an observant dog, and a frightened protagonist. We see Nivin Pauly's character looking around the house anxiously for any mysterious presence, before the screen cuts to some pleasant visuals of the actor at his charming best. In one of the shots, he is also seen having a hearty laugh with Aju Varghese, his longtime collaborator on screen.

Sarvam Maya also stars Preity Mukhundhan, Janardhanan, Madhu Warrier, Althaf Salim, and Aattam director Anand Ekarshi. On the technical front, Akhil has retained his same core team from his debut film, including cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan, composer Justin Prabhakaran, production designer Rajeevan, and sound designer Anil Radhakrishnan.

Produced by Ajayya Kumar and Rajeev Menon under the banner of Fire Fly Films, in association with Akhil Sathyan Films, the film has been confirmed as a Christmas release.

Earlier in the day, the makers of Nivin's upcoming films, Baby Girl and Dear Students, also released birthday special posters. The actor's upcoming lineup also includes the Tamil films Benz and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, and the JioHotstar web series Pharma.
