The upcoming Malayalam film Merri Boys, produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames, is set to commence production on October 12. The film, featuring Officer On Duty-fame Aiswarya Raj as the female lead, will begin with a traditional pooja ceremony in Kochi, to be attended by the cast and crew.

Directed by debutant Mahesh Maanas, Merri Boys is based on his own story, with newcomer Sreeprasad Chandran penning the screenplay and dialogues. The film has music by Sam C S, cinematography by Faiz Siddik and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese. It is billed as a youthful drama centred on friendship and adventure, featuring a largely new cast.

Merri Boys is co-produced by Justin Stephen, with Naveen P Thomas serving as executive producer. The makers recently unveiled an illustrated title poster featuring four youngsters against a vibrant backdrop, hinting at its light-hearted tone and focus on camaraderie.
