Mohanlal-Amala Paul's Run Baby Run to release again on this date

The film, which explores modern media's tendency to sensationalise news, is directed by Joshiy from Sachy's screenplay

After Chotta Mumbai and Ravanaprabhu, another old film starring Mohanlal is set to hit theatres again this year. The other day, the legendary actor appeared on Manorama News and said that his 2012 film Run Baby Run will release again in theatres on December 05 in a 4K remastered version and with Dolby Atmos sound. Directed by Joshiy, the film tells the story of a high-profile camera person (Mohanlal) and an executive editor (Amala Paul) who set aside their differences and look into a murder conspiracy involving a big-time politician. The film also stars Biju Menon, Shammi Thilakan, Vijayaraghavan, Sai Kumar, and Sai Kumar, among others.

Run Baby Run, which explores modern media's tendency to sensationalise news, is written by the late filmmaker Sachy. Milan Jaleel produced the film, which at the time proved a massive success and earned positive reviews from critics. It ran for over 100 days in theatres and is considered a blockbuster.

Besides his starring role in the film, Mohanlal also sang the popular track 'Aatumanal Payayil'.

Sibi Malayil's 1998 film Summer in Bethlehem, starring Jayaram, Manju Warrier, and Suresh Gopi, and also starring Mohanlal in a memorable cameo role, is also set to release later this year.
