Shaji Kumar has been roped in as the cinematographer of the tentatively titled L 365, the upcoming Mohanlal-starrer directed by debutant Austin Dan Thomas, the makers announced on Monday. The update follows the earlier confirmation of editor Vivek Harshan and creative director Binu Pappu. Shaji has previously collaborated with Mohanlal on several successful projects, including Naran, Pulimurugan and this year’s Thudarum, among others.

L 365 is scheduled to begin filming on December 5, with major portions planned in Thodupuzha and brief schedules in Mumbai and Sabarimala. Scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, the upcoming film marks Mohanlal’s return to a police role after a gap. The production is backed by Ashiq Usman under his namesake banner, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy.

Mohanlal will next be seen in the multilingual period drama Vrusshabha, slated for release on December 25. His upcoming lineup also includes Jeethu Joseph's much-anticipated third instalment of Drishyam, currently in production. The veteran actor is also part of Mahesh Narayanan's ambitious multistarrer Patriot, co-starring Mammootty, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara.
