Kalyani Priyadarshan praises Kaantha and Dulquer Salmaan's performance

"Went in knowing almost nothing and came out moved," wrote the Lokah star about Kaantha

Kalyani Priyadarshan is all praise for her Varane Avashyamund co-star Dulquer Salmaan's latest film Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The Lokah star took to her Instagram Stories and wrote, "This might actually be my favourrite Dulquer Salmaan performance. She went on to add, "Went in knowing almost nothing and came out moved."

Kalyani also shared that it excites her more when Dulquer speaks Tamil onscreen. Recently, Dulquer himself admitted that others say that he speaks the language better than his mother tongue because of his upbringing in Chennai and longtime association with the city. "I know how much he loves the language and how deep that connection runs," Kalyani said about Dulquer.

The Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra star also revealed that, besides for Dulquer's dialogues, she also cheered for Samuthirakani's lines in the film. She tagged Bhagyashri Borse in her Kaantha movie review and wrote, "As I told you, my eyes go straight to you on screen no matter who else is there." Kalyani gave a shout-out to the film's star Rana Daggubati, saying she always loves to watch him doing what he does best.

"A special word for the director for taking us through a time in cinema we all wish we were a part of," Kalyani wrote. She described Jakes Bejoy's background music as "mass and class as usual". According to Kalyani, ever actor has been perfectly cast in the film. "So happy for everyone who poured their heart into the film," she concluded.
