Films selected for 30th IFFK's Indian Cinema Now announced

30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) is scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from December 12 to 19

The Kerala State Chalachithra Academy on Wednesday announced the list of films selected for the Indian Cinema Now category at the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from December 12 to 19.

The line-up includes the Hindi films Songs of Forgotten Trees by Anuparna Roy, Full Plate by Tannishtha Chatterjee, Flames (Laptein) by Ravi Shankar Kaushik, and Hearth and Home (Alaav) by Prabhash Chandra, the Bengali film Mirage (Morichika) by Ishaan Ghose, the Kannada film Don’t Tell Mother (Ammang Haelbeda) by Anoop Lokkur, and the Tamil–Malayalam bilingual Theatre by Nishanth Kalidindi.

The International Competition section of the 30th IFFK will also feature the Bengali film Shadowbox (Baksho Bondi) by Tanushree Das and Pradip Kurbah’s The Elysian Field, in addition to the previously announced Malayalam entries Life of a Phallus by Unnikrishnan Avala and Khidki Gaav (If on a Winter’s Night) by Sanju Surendran.
