During the promotions of his upcoming Tamil film Kaantha in Kochi on Friday, Dulquer Salmaan revealed that his much-awaited Malayalam film I'm Game will release in April 2026. The film, directed by RDX-fame Nahas Hidhayath, marks the actor's comeback to his home turf after a long gap since King of Kotha (2023).
Speaking at the event, Dulquer acknowledged that he hasn't been doing Malayalam films for two years now, but promised that I'm Game will make up for it by fulfilling or even exceeding the audience's expectations. The actor is currently shooting for the film in and around Kochi.
I’m Game is billed as a mass entertainer, with cricket integral to the storyline. Besides Dulquer, the film also has Antony Varghese Pepe in a major role. Tamil filmmaker Mysskin is making his acting debut in Malayalam by playing the antagonist's role. Tamil actor Kathir, recently seen in Malayalam in Meesha, and Katchi Sera-fame Samyuktha Viswanathan also star in it.
I’m Game is jointly scripted by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker, with dialogues by Aadarsh Sukumaran and Shahabas Rasheed. Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese are producing the film, which is also planned to be dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
Meanwhile, Kaantha, a period drama directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, is set for release on November 14. The film's producer Rana Daggubati, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashri Borse also play prominent roles in it.
