Mammootty attends preview screening of Ranjith’s short film Aaro

Ranjith’s short film Aaro, produced by Mammootty Kampany, features Manju Warrier, Shyamaprasad and Azees Nedumangad in central roles

The preview screening of Aaro, the upcoming short film directed by veteran filmmaker Ranjith, was held in Kochi on Sunday evening in the presence of several leading names from the Malayalam film industry.  

The event saw the attendance of producer Mammootty, under whose banner Mammootty Kampany the film is being produced, along with the film’s principal cast and crew, including Manju Warrier, Shyamaprasad and Ranjith himself. Filmmakers Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed were also among the prominent guests who attended the screening.   

Aaro, meaning Someone, marks Mammootty Kampany’s foray into short films, produced in association with Ranjith’s Capitol Theatre. The film features Shyamaprasad, Manju Warrier and Azees Nedumangad in central roles. Written and scripted by V R Sudheesh, the short includes a poem by Kalpatta Narayanan, with cinematography by Prasanth Raveendran, music by Bijibal, and editing by Rathin Radhakrishnan.

Following its digital release on Mammootty Kampany’s official YouTube channel, Aaro is expected to travel to national and international film festivals in the coming months.
