Chotta Mumbai to rerelease in 4K on Mohanlal's birthday

Mohanlal's Chotta Mumbai, the 2007 Malayalam action-comedy, is set to return to cinemas in a digitally remastered 4K version with Dolby Atmos sound on May 21. The rerelease, timed to coincide with Mohanlal’s birthday, was announced by the veteran actor on Monday via his official social media accounts.

Directed by Anwar Rasheed and written by Benny P Nayarambalam, Chotta Mumbai follows Vasco da Gama (Mohanlal), a street-smart small-time crook in Kochi, and his group of loyal friends. The film also features Bhavana, Sai Kumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Jagathy Sreekumar, Rajan P Dev, Indrajith Sukumaran, Bijukuttan and Manikuttan, among others. It marked the debut of the seasoned music director Rahul Raj.
