Dolby Dineshan, the upcoming comedy entertainer starring Nivin Pauly, will begin its principal photography on May 20. The start date was confirmed by director Thamar K V during a promotional interview for his second feature Sarkeet, which is set to release in theatres on May 8.

Marking Thamar’s third directorial after 1001 Nunakal and Sarkeet, Dolby Dineshan features Nivin in the role of an auto-rickshaw driver with a love for music, which was teased through a recently released announcement poster showing the actor wearing headphones. The film's technical crew includes composer Dawn Vincent, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, and editor Nidhin Raj Arol. It is produced by Vinayaka Ajith, who is also backing Sarkeet.

Meanwhile, Nivin is currently filming Akhil Sathyan’s untitled sophomore directorial. He also has various other films at different stages of production. These include Dear Students, Baby Girl, Multiverse Manmadhan, Shekhara Varma Rajavu, Action Hero Biju 2, an untitled project by debutant Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhavan, and the Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai directed by Ram. Additionally, the Premam actor is set to make his web series debut later this year with the Disney+ Hotstar show Pharma, directed by PR Arun.
