The makers of Mammootty's upcoming film Bazooka, with director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, released the official trailer for the film earlier today. The trailer starts with a voiceover by Mammootty describing Gautham Menon's character, Cochin City ACP Benjamin Joshua. Subsequently, a voiceover by Gautham describes a character as "Mr Nobody" that is juxtaposed with visuals of Mammootty's character. At the same time as Mammootty's character is shown wielding a gun, Gautham can be heard, saying, "Prasnakkaran ano ennu chodichal, I do not think so (I do not think he is problematic)." While this may hint at a rivalry between the two, it is worth noting that Mammotty's character seems to join hands with Gautham's ACP at the end of the trailer. "Ninte aa daredevil antagonist ille, avane nammal pokkum (We will catch your daredevil antagonist)," he says after laying left his hand on the officer's shoulder. Later, a voiceover references a battle between good and evil in the film.

Bazooka, which marks the directorial debut of Deeno Dennis, renowned screenwriter Kaloor Dennis' son, is slated for an April 10 release in theatres. It also stars Sidharth Bharathan, Babu Antony, Hakim Shahjahan, Bhama Arun, Divya Pillai, and Big B-fame Sumith Naval.

Bazooka is produced by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar under Saregama India Limited’s banner, Yoodlee Films, in collaboration with Dolwin Kuriakose and Jinu V Abraham of Theatre of Dreams.

The film reunites Mammootty with his Rorschach (2022) cinematographer Nimish Ravi and composer Midhun Mukundan. Its technical team also includes editors Praveen Prabhakar and the late Nishadh Yusuf.
