The makers of Thudarum, Mohanlal's upcoming film with Shobana and director Tharun Moorthy, released the second single from the film a while ago. Titled 'Kadha Thudarum,' it is a melodic track sung by Hariharan and Gokul Gopakumar, composed by Jakes Bejoy, with lyrics by BK Harinarayanan. Written by KR Sunil and director Tharun himself, the film reunites Mohanlal with Shobana after 2009's Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded. The cast also includes Binu Pappu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, and Aanandam-fame Thomas Mathew. Its technical team also includes cinematography by Shaji Kumar, sound design by Vishnu Govind, and editing by Nishadh Yusuf and Shafeeque VB.

Produced by M Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, Thudarum is yet to have a release date.

Speaking of which, Mohanlal is awaiting the release of L2: Empuraan, the second instalment in the Lucifer franchise, where he reprises his role as Stephen Nedumpally/Khureshi Ab'raam. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial is slated for a March 27, 2025, release.
