It's a wrap for Vijay Babu-Lali PM starrer Mother Mary

Written and directed by AR Vadikkal, the film delves into the emotional bond between an ageing mother and her son

The principal photography of Mother Mary, written and directed by AR Vadikkal, has been completed. Shot across Wayanad, Kannur, and Kochi, the film explores the emotional bond between an ageing mother and her son. It features Vijay Babu as the son, while the mother is played by Lali PM, best known for her debut film Kumbalangi Nights.

According to the makers, the plot of Mother Mary revolves around James, a man whose wife has left him, as he takes on the responsibility of caring for his ageing mother, who suffers from memory loss and age-related ailments. Leaving behind his high-profile job in America, James returns to his homeland. However, over time, he finds himself becoming his mother’s adversary. The crux of the film explores how this emotional turmoil is ultimately resolved.

Mother Mary also stars Nirmal Palazhi, Sohan Seenulal, Dayana Hameed and Akhila Nath, among others. Produced by Mushroom Visual Media, the film has cinematography by Suresh Red-One and music by Santhosh Kumar.
