The makers of the Mathew Thomas-starrer Lovely, slated to hit theatres on April 4, have unveiled the film's teaser. Written and directed by Dileesh Karunakaran (previously known as Dileesh Nair), it marks his return to directing since his debut with Tamaar Padaar. He is also known for co-writing films such as Salt N' Pepper, Da Thadiya, Idukki Gold and Mayaanadhi.

Billed as a 3D fantasy comedy-drama, Lovely's teaser opens with Mathew’s character wondering aloud whether a fly that dies can become a ghost. Joemon Jyothir’s character looks perplexed and repeats the question in disbelief. Mathew then reveals that a fly has spoken to him. It then shows glimpses of this talking fly, strikingly reminiscent of the one from SS Rajamouli’s 2012 film Eega. With a feminine voice, the fly converses with Mathew, who asks how it gained the ability to speak. The fly responds that it is an interesting question and suggests that there is some sort of connection between them, or that their frequencies align. Meanwhile, Mathew’s friends dismiss his claims, believing he has lost his mind. The teaser also features action-packed sequences from the fly’s perspective, promising a fun-filled fantasy adventure.

Lovely's cast also includes Unnimaya Prasad, Manoj K Jayan, Aswathy Ramachandran, Prashanth Murali, Baburaj, Joemon Jothir, Arun Pradeep, Sreejith Ravi, Jayashankar, Ashlin, Arun, among others. The film's technical crew includes music director Vishnu Vijay and editor Kiran Das. Notably, director Aashiq Abu made his debut as a cinematographer in this film, much before his last directorial Rifle Club (2024).
