Hesham Abdul Wahab: Mohanlal-Anoop Menon film will explore different facets of Indian music

While this is Hesham's maiden collaboration with Anoop Menon, he had earlier collaborated with Mohanlal for a music video for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has confirmed composing for Anoop Menon's upcoming directorial starring Mohanlal. In an exclusive chat with us, Hesham, who shot to fame with Hridayam (2022) and the Telugu films Kushi (2023) and Hi Nanna (2023), said, "It's too early to talk about the film, but I'm still very excited about it. There's a lot of scope for experimenting as it will explore several facets of Indian music. There will be at least six months of prep work for it."

While this is Hesham's maiden collaboration with Anoop Menon, he had earlier collaborated with Mohanlal for a music video for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Mohanlal sang and featured in the music video, directed by TK Rajeev Kumar. "Working on Lal sir's film is a dream come true moment, and I'm eager to give my best," added a thrilled Hesham.

Hesham's next release in Malayalam will be Samshayam, starring Vinay Forrt and Sharafudheen. Apart from that, he will also be composing for Arjun Das' maiden Malayalam film, directed by June-fame Ahammed Khabeer.

The Mohanlal-Anoop Menon film, which is yet to be titled, is produced by Timeless Movies. As per the makers, the film exploring themes of love, longing, and music is planned to be shot in Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Shillong.
