Sthanarthi Sreekuttan gets an OTT release date

Sthanarthi Sreekuttan follows a schoolboy who decides to contest the class election after clashing with his authoritarian teacher

Sthanarthi Sreekuttan, directed by debutant Vinesh Viswanath, will have its digital premiere on Saina Play on June 20, announced the streamer. The film, set against the backdrop of a government school, was released in cinemas in November last year to positive reviews, although it saw limited success at the box office.

Sthanarthi Sreekuttan is jointly scripted by Vinesh, Murali Krishnan, actor Anand Manmadhan and Kailash S Bhavan, who also serves as the editor. The film follows a schoolboy named Sreekuttan, who decides to contest the class election after clashing with his authoritarian teacher. Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) actor Sreerang Shine plays the titular role, while Aju Varghese appears as the teacher. The supporting cast includes Saiju Kurup, Johny Antony, Anand, Sruthy Suresh, Kannan Nayar, Ajisha Prabhakaran, Jibin Gopinath, Sreenath Babu and Ganga Meera, among others.

Sthanarthi Sreekuttan has cinematography by Anoop V Shylaja and music by PS Jayahari. The film is produced by Nishant Pillai and Muhammed Rafi MA under the banner of Budget Lab Productions.
