Teja Lakshmi, daughter of veteran actors Urvashi and Manoj K Jayan, is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming Malayalam film Sundariyayaval Stella. The announcement was made at a press conference held by the makers on Wednesday in Kochi in the presence of her father. The film will be directed by newcomer Binu Peter, who also serves as the writer.

Teja Lakshmi, also fondly known as Kunjatta, will play the titular role of Stella opposite Sarjano Khalid, who portrays the male lead. The film's technical crew includes Aattam cinematographer Anurudh Aneesh, music director Sreenath Sivasankaran and editor Sagar Das. More details about its extended cast, plot and genre are yet to be disclosed.

Produced by Muhammed Salee under the banner of Ikka Productions in association with Kaka Stories, Sundariyayaval Stella's shooting is scheduled to begin shortly in Kochi.
