We had earlier reported about Antony Varghese joining hands with Marco producer Shareef Muhammed for a new actioner titled Kattalan. On Saturday, eminent Telugu actor Sunil officially onboarded the film’s primary cast.
On the occasion, the makers also released a character poster, which features Sunil in a refreshingly dapper avatar, standing against the dramatic backdrop of a forest. Sunil’s recent Telugu films include Mad Square and Ramam Raghavam. He was also seen in Ajith-starrer Good Bad Ugly.
Among other actors to join the film’s cast is Kabir Duhan Singh, who was also seen in a major role in Marco. Kattalan is produced under the banner of Cubes Entertainments. According to a press release, the film revolves around a "confrontation between a man and an elephant."
Kantara fame Ajaneesh B Loknath has been signed to compose music for the film. Renadive is the cinematographer, while Shameer Muhammed is the editor.
Kattalan is set to go on floors soon. The makers are planning to release the film in theatres in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Meanwhile, Antony is currently shooting for I'm Game, which also stars Dulquer Salmaan. The film, directed by RDX-fame Nahas Hidhayath, is billed as a sports thriller.
