On Wednesday, seasoned producer Listin Stephen of Magic Frames banner announced a new film titled Merri Boys, directed by debutant Mahesh Maanas. Newcomer Sreeprasad Chandran has penned the screenplay and dialogues based on Mahesh's story.

The makers also unveiled an illustrated title look poster that features four youngsters in a colourful background, presumably on a vacation, facing the sky, radiating friendship and adventure. Merri Boys has music by Sam C S, cinematography by Faiz Siddik and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese. The film is co-produced by Justin Stephen, with Naveen P Thomas serving as the executive producer. As per the makers, Officer On Duty-fame Aiswarya Raj will play the female lead in the film, which will have prominence for newcomers.

Meanwhile, Listin is also backing Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval's Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, marking the filmmaker's reunion with Kunchacko Boban after Nna Thaan Case Kodu and its spinoff Sureshanteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hrudayahariyaya Pranayakadha. The upcoming film also stars Dileesh Pothan, Aavesham-fame Sajin Gopu, and Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram in prominent roles.
