Talking about the project, the producer said in a statement, "Vala is a film that blends humour, mystery, and emotion in a way that feels both rooted and refreshing. As our first Malayalam production, we wanted to tell a story that’s unique and entertaining, and we are excited to bring this vision to life with such a passionate and talented team."
Notably, Vala has music by Govind Vasantha, who also makes his acting debut with the film. It also stars Abu Salim, Navas Vallikunnu, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Shafi Kollam, Gokulan, and perfumer Yusuf Bhai. The film's technical team also includes cinematographer Afnas V, editor Siddique Hyder, and production designer Arshad Nakkoth.
The makers have confirmed that Vala is set to release theatrically this September, without mentioning the specific date.
