Mahesh Narayanan, who presents and co-produces the upcoming Arjun Ashokan starrer Thalavara, has released the film's first-look poster. The poster features Arjun sporting a smile as well as marks on his head and fingers. The Akhil Anilkumar directorial is all set to hit theatres on August 15. Produced by Shebin Backer through his namesake company and Mahesh under his Moving Narratives banner, the film also stars Revathy Sharma. Revathy is known for her work in the Soori starrer Garudan (2024).

Thalavara is directed by Akhil from a screenplay he has written alongside Appu Aslam. The film also stars Ashokan, Devadarshini, Aathira Maryam, Sharath Sabha, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Prashanth Murali, Sam Mohan, Hareesh Kumar, Sohan Seenulal, Shaju Sreedhar, Vishnu Raghu, Muhammed Rafi, Manoj Moses, Shebin Benson, Aswath Lal, and Amit Mohan Rajeshwari.

Recently seen in a cameo in Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy's Thudarum and with Ahaana Krishna in Nancy Rani, Arjun Ashokan's upcoming films also include Sumathi Valavu and Chatha Pacha. Sumathi Valavu is slated for an August 01 release in theatres. On the other hand, Akhil Anilkumar is known as the director of Archana 31 Not Out, starring Aishwarya Lekshmi.
