Producer Ashiq Usman has shared that Thantha Vibe, the upcoming Tovino Thomas-starrer directed by Muhsin Parari, is envisaged as a large-scale production that will take considerable time to complete. Speaking to Reporter TV, Ashiq shared that the film’s shoot is planned entirely in Thailand and is expected to commence either towards the end of 2026 or in early 2027. “It’s a film conceived on a big canvas, with extensive pre-production and numerous locations. It isn’t something that can be made quickly; it will need a lot of time,” he said.

News of the project first emerged earlier this year when the makers unveiled a poster showing a silhouette of Tovino striking a dance pose, accompanied by the tagline, “How old is your inner child?” Thantha Vibe will mark a reunion between Tovino and Muhsin, who co-wrote Thallumaala and Virus. Several core members of the Thallumaala team are also on board, including cinematographer Jimshi Khalid and music director Vishnu Vijay. Chaman Chakko, who collaborated with Tovino on films such as Kala, 2018: Everyone is a Hero, and Identity, has been brought in as editor.

Muhsin’s directorial debut KL 10 did not find major success during its theatrical run but later gained attention among audiences.

Last seen in Anuraj Manohar's political drama Narivetta, Tovino is currently busy shooting for Dijo Jose Antony's period drama Palli Chattambi, alongside Dragon-fame Kayadu Lohar.
