Moonwalk, the feature directorial debut of seasoned ad filmmaker Vinod AK, will begin streaming on JioHotstar from July 8. Set in late-1980s Kerala and inspired by true events, the film follows a group of youngsters enthralled by the global Michael Jackson phenomenon and their attempts to master breakdancing. It was released theatrically on May 30 and received generally positive reviews from critics.

Presented by acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, Moonwalk is co-produced by Listin Stephen under the Magic Frames banner, alongside Jasni Ahamad. The film features over a hundred newcomers in its cast and is jointly scripted by Vinod, Mathew Varghis and Sunil Gopalakrishnan. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Ansar Shah, composer Prashant Pillai, and editors Deepu Joseph and Kiran Das.

An excerpt from the CE review of Moonwalk reads, "If you want a film that not only shows dance but makes you feel it, to move with it and to live it, this is worth your time. It is more than a dance film, it is an uplifting tribute to anyone who has dared to step into the spotlight, even when the world tells them not to, and dance anyway."
