The makers of Girish AD's I Am Kathalan have announced via social media that the film, featuring Naslen in the lead, will be available for streaming on ManoramaMAX from January 17. Released theatrically on November 7, 2024, the film marked the fourth collaboration between the actor and director, following successful ventures like Thaneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu.

Focusing on cybercrimes, I Am Kathalan has a screenplay by actor Sajin Cherukayil, who also plays a significant role in the film.The film's cast also includes Anishma, Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, TG Ravi and Vineeth Vasudevan. On the technical front, it has music by Sidhartha Pradeep, editing by Akash Joseph Varghese and cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan.

An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "Overall, I Am Kathalan is a well-paced film that engages without pushing too many boundaries, remaining accessible and relatable as a cautionary tale. Meanwhile, Girish and Naslen are set to reunite for Premalu 2, a sequel to their blockbuster rom-com, which is slated for later this year.
