Audio launch of Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir's Pravinkoodu Shappu to take place on this date

Set to release in cinemas worldwide on January 16, it marks the directorial debut of Sreeraj Sreenivasan, who has also written the screenplay

The makers of Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir's upcoming film Pravinkoodu Shappu have announced details of its audio launch event, scheduled for Monday, January 13, at 6:30 PM at Lulu Mall, Kottayam. The film has music composed by Vishnu Vijay with lyrics penned by Mu.Ri, Vinayak Sasikumar and Suhail Koya. Set to release in cinemas worldwide on January 16, it is written and directed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan.

Touted as an investigative thriller centred around a murder in a toddy shop, Pravinkoodu Shappu also stars Chemban Vinod Jose, Chandini Sreedharan, Niyas Aboobecker, Shabareesh Varma, Shivajith Padmanabhan, Joseph, George, Vijo (Mani), Sandeep, Revathy, Ramkumar, Rajeesh Azheekodan, Devaraj, Prathapan, and Jyothika. The film is produced by renowned filmmaker Anwar Rasheed, with cinematography by Shyju Khalid and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali.

Basil, last seen in Sookshmadarshini, also has season production designer Jothish Shankar's directorial debut Ponman, slated for February 6, and Marana Mass in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Soubin is making his Tamil debut in the Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It has also been announced that Soubin will soon direct a film starring Dulquer Salmaan.
