On Sunday, the makers of Khalid Rahman’s upcoming boxing-based comedy Alappuzha Gymkhana unveiled the character poster of Falimy-fame Sandeep Pradeep as Shifas Ahammed. In the poster, he strikes an intense boxing pose, dressed in a blue boxing outfit and white hand wraps. The film stars Naslen, Lukman, Ganapathi, and Anagha Ravi in lead roles, with Franco Francis, rapper Baby Jean, Shiva Hariharan, Shon Joy, Karthik, Nanda Nishanth and Noila Francy also appearing in prominent roles.

On the technical front, it reunites the trio of cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, editor Nishadh Yusuf, and composer Vishnu Vijay, who previously collaborated with Khalid on the blockbuster Thallumaala (2022). Alappuzha Gymkhana's action choreography is handled by Jophil Lal and Kalai Kingson. The film is produced by Khalid, Jobin George, Sameer Karat, and Subeesh Kannachery under the banners of Plan B Motion Pictures and Reelistic Studios.

Sandeep, who made his debut with the Mammootty-starrer Pathinettam Padi (2019), is best known for his portrayal of Basil Joseph's younger brother in Falimy (2023).
