On Sunday, director Muhsin Parari revealed new details about his upcoming film Thantha Vibe, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead, through his Instagram stories. The filmmaker disclosed that it belongs to the ‘psy-fi’ genre, a fusion of psychological fiction and science fiction. Additionally, he listed several other genres that the film is expected to explore, including dark comedy, action-adventure, existential drama, martial arts, surrealism and absurdist comedy.

Muhsin, who made his directorial debut in 2015 with KL 10 Patthu, also confirmed during a Q&A session on his Instagram stories that filming for Thantha Vibe will commence soon.

The first announcement of the film was made with a poster featuring a silhouette image of Tovino striking a dance pose, accompanied by the tagline, "How old is your inner child?" It reunites Tovino with Muhsin, who co-wrote Thallumaala and Virus. Thallumaala's producer Aashiq Usman, cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, and music director Vishnu Vijay are also part of the upcoming film. Chaman Chakko, who has worked on Tovino's films like Kala, 2018, and Identity, has been roped in as the editor.

Through his Instagram stories, Muhsin also expressed his eagerness to collaborate with veteran actor Mammootty, hinting at a potential future project.
