'Kettingo' song from Vadakkan out

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Vadakkan, featuring Kishore and Kismat-fame Shruthy Menon, have released the lyric video for the song Kettingo. The folklore track, composed by Bijibal and penned by B K Hari Narayanan, has Bhadra Rajin on the vocals. The film is directed by Sajeed A and penned by Unni R, whose notable works include Munnariyippu (2014) and Charlie (2015).

Set against the backdrop of ancient North Malabar folklore,Vadakkan's tagline reads, "A supernatural thriller from Dravidian legends." The film marks the first chapter in a trilogy, in which Kishore plays the role of a paranormal investigator. Approached to unravel a series of brutal murders on a reality TV show, he uncovers dark secrets tied to an ancient cult ritual that dates back to the 800-year-old Indus Valley Civilization. As he delves deeper, he comes face-to-face with a deadly spirit from Dravidian folklore, plunging him into a world filled with terrifying revelations.

Vadakkan also stars Kalesh Ramanand, Maala Parvathi, Merin Philip, Sirajudheen Nazar, Garggi Ananthan, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Aryan Kathuria, Ravi Venkataraman and Greeshma Alex. The film's technical crew includes Japanese cinematographer Keiko Nakahara, editor Sooraj ES and Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty. It previously clinched multiple accolades at various film festivals, including the Gala Screening Selection at Fantastic Pavilion at Cannes, Best Supernatural Thriller award at the Fright Night Film Festival in the USA, and Best Feature Film at the RED Movie Awards, Autumn Edition, REIMS, France.

Produced by Offbeet Studios, Vadakkan will be released theatrically on March 7 and dubbed in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.
