The makers of Khalid Rahman's upcoming boxing-based sports comedy Alappuzha Gymkhana unveiled the character poster of the film's lead actor Naslen K Gafoor. The film introduces him as Jojo Johnson, striking an intense boxing pose, dressed in a red boxing outfit and black hand wraps. The caption accompanying the social media post read, “Not the best at everything, but in his zone? Jojo’s a beast!”

Earlier character posters of Alappuzha Gymkhana introduced Lukman Avaran as Antony Joshua, Falimy-fame Sandeep Pradeep as Shifas Ahammed, Franco Francis as Shifas Ali and rapper Baby Jean as David John. The film also stars Ganapathi and Anagha Ravi in pivotal roles. Its cast further includes Shiva Hariharan, Shon Joy, Karthik, Nanda Nishanth, and Noila Francy.

Alappuzha Gymkhana is produced by Khalid, Jobin George, Sameer Karat, and Subeesh Kannachery under the banners of Plan B Motion Pictures and Reelistic Studios. The film will be distributed by Central Pictures and Truth Global Films. On the technical front, it reunites Khalid with cinematographer Jimshi Khalid and composer Vishnu Vijay, along with the late editor Nishadh Yusuf, all of whom previously collaborated on the blockbuster Thallumaala (2022).
