Director Akhil Sathyan's Sarvam Maya has opened to positive reviews from critics and audiences. In first five days, it has earned 50 crore from theatres worldwide. The latest to praise the Nivin Pauly starrer is actor Ameya Mathew. The other day, Ameya took to her Instagram Stories and shared her Sarvam Maya movie review. "As a huge fan of Nivin Pauly, I really wanted to see him come back stronger than ever. And honestly, we all wanted to see him shine again," Ameya wrote. "I watched it mainly for him, and he absolutely stole the show," Ameya added. Calling it a "wholesome" entertainer, the actor said that "it touched" her, despite her not being a big fan of the so-called "feel-good" brand of cinema.

The actor ended her review by saying, "Once a Nivin Pauly fan, always a Nivin Pauly fan."

Earlier, the film's lead actor Riya Shibu also described herself as a fan of Nivin.

Sarvam Maya has ended a streak of box-office failures for films starring Nivin Pauly as the main lead. While last year's Varshangalkku Shesham brought him commercial success and appreciation for his comical role in the film, it is not until the Akhil Sathyan directorial he recently earned commercial success a solo lead. Despite the critical appreciation for films such as Moothon, Mahaveeryar, Padavettu, and Thuramukham, the films did not fare all that well at the box office. With Sarvam Maya, however, the general consensus has been that the actor is back to doing what he does best. In our review, Vignesh Madhu wrote that the film "marks the welcome return of the much-loved, guy-next-door version of Nivin Pauly after a long hibernation."

The film also stars Aju Varghese, Janardhanan, Preity Mukhundhan, and Nivin's Premam director Alphonse Puthren.
