Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, the upcoming wrestling-based Malayalam film directed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar, is gearing up for release on January 22. Meanwhile, the makers unveiled the character poster of Vishak Nair, who plays one of the leads in the film. He plays a character named Cherian, someone who's "unapologetically self-obsessed.”

Upon closer look, one can notice an interesting detail in the poster: every credit carries the name ‘Cherian’. According to the makers, the poster is an "extension of Cherian’s psyche, a world where everything revolves around him and authorship itself is claimed as personal property."

Chatha Pacha, set against the backdrop of Fort Kochi’s underground wrestling culture, also stars Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Ishan Shoukath, and Pooja Mohandas in lead roles. Mammootty is also said to be playing a cameo role in the film, which explores the lives of characters drawn into a flamboyant world inspired by WWE-style wrestling clubs.

Chatha Pacha's screenplay and dialogues are written by Sanoop Thykoodam, whose writing credits include Chunkzz, Vikruthi, and Sumesh & Ramesh. The film marks the Malayalam debut of composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who are composing the songs, with the background score by Kishkindha Kaandam-fame Mujeeb Majeed.

The technical crew includes Anend C Chandran as director of photography, with additional cinematography by Jomon T John and Sudeep Elamon. Praveen Prabhakar handles editing, while Kalai Kingson, noted for his work in Marco, serves as the action choreographer.

Chatha Pacha is backed by Ritesh S Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shoukath under the Reel World Entertainment banner. It has distribution support from leading banners such as Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, Dharma Productions, Mythri Movie Makers, PVR INOX Pictures, and The Plot Pictures.
