After the success of Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, Vishnu Unnikrishnan is reuniting with director Nadirshah for a new film titled Magic Mushrooms. The film's recently released teaser promises a small-town entertainer on the lines of their previous collaboration. Asharaf Pilakkal produces the film, set to hit screens on January 23.

Magic Mushrooms is scripted by debutant Aakash Dev. It has Akshaya Udayakumar as the female lead. Others in the cast include Harisree Ashokan, Aju Varghese, Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Bobby Kurian, Sidharth Bharathan, Pramod Veliyanad, Abin Bino, Meenakshi Dinesh, and Pooja Mohanraj, among others.

Magic Mushrooms has cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev and editing by Johnkutty. Nadirshah is composing the songs, while Manikandan Ayyappa is doing the background score. The film was shot across Thodupuzha, Erattupetta and Ottapalam.

Vishnu's upcoming slate also includes Revolver Rinko and Bheeshmar, co-starring Dhyan Sreenivasan.
