The makers of Mindiyum Paranjum dropped the film's teaser the other day. The one-minute-long clip shows Unni Mukundan's character talking to Aparna Balamurali's character about the point of calling each other husband and wife. "Maybe couples do not address each other as husband and wife because it is boring, right?" asks Unni's character, and Aparna's spouse simply blushes and smiles in response. The long-delayed film, co-written and directed by Arun Bose of Luca fame, is slated for a December 25 release. It brings Arun back together with Mridul George, his co-writer on Luca, starring Tovino Thomas and Ahaana Krishna in the lead roles.
Mindiyum Paranjum has been in the making since 2021 onwards. It was previously exhibited at the 2023 Indian Film Festival in Alberta. Jaffer Idukki, Maala Parvathi, Jude Anthany Joseph, Sohan Seenulal, Prasant Murali, and others are also part of the film's cast. On the technical front, it has veteran cinematographer Madhu Ambat, editor Kiran Das, and composer Sooraj S Kurup.
The film is produced by Kabeer Kottaram and Razak Ahamed, as well as presented by well-known director Salim Ahmed under the Allens Media banner.
