Eko, actor Sandeep Pradeep and director Dinjith Ayyathan's film, grosses over 25 crore at global box office

The latest mystery film from director Dinjith Ayyathan of Kishkindha Kaandam fame, Eko grossed more than 25 crore from theatres worldwide in its opening week, the film's producer announced the other day. The film stars Sandeep Pradeep, Biana Momin, Vineeth, Narain, Ashokan, Binu Pappu, and Saurabh Sachdeva, among others. It tells the story of a search for a mysterious character named Kuriachan (Saurabh). Some police officers, middle-aged adults, and a mysterious character are all looking for the all elusive man at a hill station. Made on a reported budget of 5 crore, the film has been garnering positive reports from both audiences and critics alike.

Eko has reunited Dinjith with his core team of Kishkindha Kaandam, including screenwriter and cinematographer Bahul Ramesh, editor Sooraj SE, and composer Mujeeb Majeed. It is the third and last instalment in writer Bahul's so-called Animal Trilogy, which also includes Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files 2. Dogs play an important part in the film's narrative. The film explores themes of loyalty between man and his favourite pet, the blurring lines between protection and restriction, and the elusiveness and mysterious nature of human nature and identity.
