The makers of Pranav Mohanlal's Dies Irae, the upcoming horror thriller directed by Rahul Sadasivan, have announced that the film’s teaser will be unveiled on August 27 at 11:30 am.
Titled after the Latin phrase meaning 'Day of Wrath', Dies Irae is scheduled for release on October 31 as a Halloween offering. The film marks Rahul’s third consecutive venture into horror following Bhoothakaalam (2022) and Bramayugam (2024), both of which were critically acclaimed, with the latter also achieving box-office success.
Pranav’s first-look poster was unveiled last month on his birthday. The striking image, drenched in red, showed the actor reclining on a couch with a cigarette and drink in hand, surrounded by bottles and unconscious figures, while a demonic face loomed in the background.
Dies Irae reunites Rahul with several of his frequent collaborators, including cinematographer Shehnad Jalal and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali. Art direction is by Ponman director Jothish Shankar, with music composed by Christo Xavier and stunt choreography by Marco-fame Kalai Kingson. The film is produced by Ramachandra Chakravarthy and S Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
