Perumani, headlined by Lukman Avaran, Sunny Wayne and Vinay Forrt, will start streaming on Thursday on Saina Play, the streamer announced. The film is written and directed by Maju, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed Appan (2022), featuring Alencier Ley Lopez and Sunny in the lead.

Released theatrically on May 10, Perumani opened to generally positive reviews with appreciation for its wacky humour. The film also stars Deepa Thomas, Navas Vallikkunnu, Vijilesh Karayad, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Franco Francis, and Amal Rajdev in prominent roles. Produced by Firoz Thairinil under the banner of Une Vie Movies in association with the director's home production Maju Movies, its technical team includes State Award-winning cinematographer Manesh Madhavan, editor Joel Kavi and composer Gopi Sunder.

An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "Apart from having shades of magical realism from Amen and quirkiness from Kunjiramayanam, the proceedings and the characters in Perumani, at times, remind you of some yesteryear Malayalam films as well. To name a few, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu, and Kinnaripuzhayoram. Also, the base plot revolving around the arrangements of a wedding and its payoff echoes a couple of recent Malayalam films. However, the film still delivers its fair share of heartwarming moments."
