Nissar directed 26 films in a career spanning around 30 years

Malayalam director Nissar passed away on Monday. The 65-year-old had been undergoing treatment for liver and respiratory-related illnesses for a while now. A native of Changanassery in Kottayam, Nissar directed 26 films in a career spanning around 30 years. His funeral rites will be held on Tuesday at Pazhayapalli Mosque, Changanassery

Nissar made his directorial debut in 1994 with Sudhinam, starring Jayaram, Maadhavi, Sudheesh, and Oduvil Unnikrishnan. His other films include Three Men Army (1995), Achan Rajavu Appan Jethavu (1995), Malayaalamaasam Chingam Onninu (1996), Adukkala Rahasyam Angaadi Paattu (1997), and Captain (1999). He last directed Two Men Army (2024), a thriller headlined by Indrans and Shaheen Siddique.
