The second-look poster of the Mammootty-Vinayakan starrer Kalamkaval was released on Sunday through the film’s official social media channels. The poster is accompanied by the caption, “Some faces raise questions… Not answers...” It features a close-up of Mammootty with an intense expression and a sinister grin, suggesting a potentially threatening character. The image follows the earlier first-look poster, which showed him mid-scuffle with a cigarette in his mouth.

Kalamkaval is directed by debutant filmmaker Jithin K Jose, who previously wrote the story for Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Kurup (2021). He co-wrote the screenplay of the upcoming film with Jishnu Sreekumar. Mammootty reportedly plays a morally grey character opposite Vinayakan in it, with Jibin Gopinath also starring in a prominent role.

Kalamkaval, backed by Mammootty's home banner Mammootty Kampany, has Faisal Ali wielding the camera, Praveen Prabhakar handling the cuts and Kishkindha Kaandam-fame Mujeeb Majeed composing the music.

Meanwhile, Mammootty is headlining Mahesh Narayanan's multistarrer political thriller, tentatively titled MMMN, co-starring Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, and Kunchacko Boban. The Bramayugam actor is also set to star in a mass entertainer directed by Falimy filmmaker Nithish Sahadev.
