Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew's Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies launched

The film marks the Malayalam debut of the celebrated composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy

Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, a WWE-inspired action film set in Kochi, began production on Wednesday with a traditional pooja ceremony. Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Marco-fame Ishan Shoukath play the lead roles in the film, directed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar. Its story is by Adhvaith, while the screenplay and dialogues are by Sanoop Thykoodam, who wrote and directed Sumesh & Ramesh. The latter also co-wrote films like Chunkzz and Vikruthi.

Notably, Chatha Pacha marks the Malayalam debut of the celebrated composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film has cinematography by Chandru Selvaraj, stunt choreography by Kalai Kingson, and art direction by Sunil Das, all three of whom previously worked on the blockbuster actioner Marco.

Praveen Prabhakar, known for his work in Ustad Hotel,  Bangalore Days, Iyobinte Pusthakam and Kannur Squad, will handle Chatha Pacha's editing. The film is produced by Ritesh S Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shoukath under the banner of Reel World Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Roshan's upcoming slate also includes Shahi Kabir's Ronth, alongside Dileesh Pothan, Prasanth Vijay's Ithiri Neram, opposite Zarin Shihab, and Lijin Jose's Chera, co-starring Nimisha Sajayan.

On the other hand, Arjun will next be seen in Sumathi Valavu, scheduled to hit theatres on May 8.
