Antony Varghese's boxing-based actioner Daveed will have its digital premiere on ZEE5 on April 18. The film, which hit screens on February 14, had a decent run at the box office. It is directed by debutant Govind Vishnu, who co-wrote the film with Deepu Rajeevan, also a newcomer.

Daveed has Antony playing the role of Ashiq Abu, a loafer who wastes his time around without going for a regular job. Abu's routine existence is disrupted when an unexpected incident during one of his bouncer gigs compels him to confront his dark past and re-enter the boxing ring, facing off against an internationally renowned boxer. Mo Ismail plays the latter character named Sainul Akhmadov.

Daveed stars Lijomol Jose as Ashiq's wife, while Vijayaraghavan plays his mentor's role. Saiju Kurup, Kichu Tellus, Jess Kukku, Achu Baby John, Mohammad Karakki and a bunch of martial artists are part of the cast. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Salu K Thomas, editing by Rakesh Cherumadam and action choreography by PC Stunts. The film is produced by Aby Alex Abraham and Tom Joseph under the banner of Century Max John Mary Productions in collaboration with Panorama Studios.

Antony Varghese next has Kattalan, directed by debutant Paul George in the pipeline. It is backed by Marco producer Shareef Muhammed.
