The sequel to Vaazha will be officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony at the Thrikkakkara Vamana Moorthy Temple, Kochi, on April 8 at 8 am. Directed by debutant Savin SA and scripted by Vaazha writer Vipin Das, Vaazha II brings back social media personalities Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak in leading roles. All four had made cameo appearances in the original film.

The second instalment is being produced by the original team—Vipin, Harris Desom, P B Anish, Adarsh Narayan and Icon Studios. Cinematography will be handled by Akhil Lailasuran, a newcomer to the team. Further details regarding the extended cast and technical crew are expected to follow the pooja ceremony.

Released on August 15, 2024, Vaazha was a coming-of-age comedy-drama helmed by Gauthamante Radham director Anand Menen. The film opened to positive reviews and featured Joemon Jyothir, Saaf, Siju Sunny, Amith Mohan Rajeswari, and Anuraj in the lead roles. It is yet to be confirmed whether any of the original cast will return for Vaazha II.
