The trailer for the Antony Varghese-starrer Kondal, slated for an Onam release, was unveiled by the makers on Sunday. While there is no official confirmation regarding the exact release date, reports suggest it will arrive in cinemas on September 13. The upcoming film is directed by debutant Ajit Mampally, who co-wrote the script with Roylin Robert and Satheesh Thonakkal.

The trailer begins by introducing Antony's character, a rugged fisherman who isn’t afraid to let his fists do the talking, even though he has a wife and children to look after. It is followed by a series of intense action sequences, primarily set at sea, promising a high-octane action thriller. The trailer concludes with a quick glimpse of the antagonist, portrayed by Kannada actor Raj B Shetty.

Kondal also stars Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, and Rahul Rajagopal in significant roles. The film's technical team includes composer Sam CS, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, and editor Sreejith Sarang. It is produced by Weekend Blockbusters, the same production house behind Antony's hit film RDX (2023), which also was an Onam release.

Meanwhile, Antony's new film Daveed recently completed its first schedule of shooting. Also hinted to be an action film, it is directed by debutant Govind Vishnu.
