The RGI Airport police in Hyderabad registered a case against Malayalam actor Vinayakan on Saturday following a complaint by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which accused him of unruly behavior with gate staff at the airport.

Vinayakan, reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the incident, was charged with several bailable offences, including public misconduct and causing a nuisance. The actor, however, claimed that he was assaulted by CISF personnel at the airport.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening when Vinayakan, travelling from Kochi to Goa via Hyderabad, allegedly engaged in a heated argument and spoke rudely to airline gate staff. He was subsequently handed over to the CISF and later released on bail.

Speaking to Manorama News earlier, the Jailer actor stated that CISF officials had taken him to a room at the airport, where he was assaulted. He asserted his innocence and suggested that CCTV footage could be checked to verify the events.

Meanwhile, Vinayakan's upcoming film Thekku Vadakku, alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu, is set to be released soon.
