Aasa Kooda-fame Preity Mukhundhan to make Malayalam debut with Maine Pyar Kiya

Earlier, we reported that Sanju Unnithan's Spire Productions announced a new film titled Maine Pyar Kiya. The latest development is that Tamil actor Preity Mukhundhan, best known for the Kavin-starrer Star and headlining the highly popular music video Aasa Kooda, is all set to make her debut in Malayalam with the upcoming film. Billed as a romantic comedy with thrilling elements, it is directed by debutant Faizal Faziludeen, who has co-written the script with Blk Fzl.

Maine Pyar Kiya has cinematography by Don Paul P, editing by Kannan Mohan, music by Ajmal Hasbulla and sound design by Renganaath Ravee. Details regarding the rest of the cast are yet to be disclosed as the film gears up to go on floors.

Preity also has a Telugu film Kannappa, helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, in the pipeline. Written and headlined by Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, the film also features guest appearances from the likes of Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal.
