The makers of Pennum Porattum, actor Rajesh Madhavan’s debut directorial, have announced the completion of its filming. The upcoming film commenced shooting in February this year after launching in 2022. Billed as a comedy entertainer, it is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla under the banner of STK Frames. Further details regarding the plot, technical crew, and extended cast remain under wraps.

Rajesh entered the film industry as an actor with Dileesh Pothan's directorial debut Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016). He later worked as an assistant director on Dileesh's next film, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), and also assisted Madhu C Narayanan on Kumbalangi Nights (2019). He also served as the creative director for Senna Hegde's Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam (2021).

Rajesh is best known for his acting roles in Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham (2021), Nna Thaan Case Kodu (2022), its 2024 spin-off Sureshanteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hrudayahariyaya Pranayakadha, and Madanolsavam (2023). Most recently, he appeared in Grrr, alongside Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
