The makers of MA Nishad’s Oru Anveshanathinte Thudakkam, starring Shine Tom Chacko in the lead, have dropped the film’s trailer. Scheduled to hit theatres on November 8, its story is reportedly inspired by a real case handled by the director’s father, PM Kunjumoideenkutty, a retired IPS officer.

The trailer opens with a voiceover announcing that the investigation into the murder of Jeevan Thomas, a journalist portrayed by Shine Tom Chacko, has been assigned to the Kottayam Crime Branch. Mukesh then appears as a police officer, presumably part of the investigative team, facing mockery from Ashokan, who suggests that the Kottayam Crime Branch is ineffective. Short glimpses follow of police procedures involving Swaswika and Durga Krishna as officers, along with flashbacks of Jeevan's past, which include his romantic interest, played by Sshivada. The trailer promises the film will be a gripping investigative thriller uncovering the mystery surrounding Jeevan's murder.

The cast of Oru Anveshanathinte Thudakkam also includes Vani Viswanath, Samuthirakani, Vijay Babu, Prasanth Alexander, Johny Antony, Kalabhavan Shajon, Manju Pillai, Sudheesh, Shaheen Siddique, Janardhanan, Kottayam Nazeer, Ramesh Pisharody, Jaffer Idukki, Irshad, Biju Sopanam, Kunchan, Abu Salim, Sminu Sijo, Baiju Santhosh, Jude Anthany Joseph, and Anumol. On the technical side, the film has cinematography by Vivekh Menon, editing by Johnkutty and music composed by M Jayachandran. It is bankrolled by K V Abdul Nazar under the banner of Benzy Productions.
