The makers of the Naslen-starrer I Am Kathalan, directed by Girish AD, announced via social media that the film's trailer will be unveiled on October 26 at 5 pm. The upcoming film is scheduled to hit theatres on November 7, and it marks the actor-director duo's fourth collaboration, following Thaneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu.

Although I Am Kathalan began production well before Premalu, its release was delayed for undisclosed reasons. The film is scripted by actor Sajin Cherukayil, who also plays a significant role. According to the makers, I Am Kathalan is a "dark thriller" focusing on cybercrime. Produced by Dr Paul Varghese, the film's cast also includes newcomers such as Anishma, along with Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, TG Ravi, and Vineeth Vasudevan. On the technical front, it has Sidhartha Pradeep composing the music, Akash Joseph Varghese on the editing table, and Sharan Velayudhan behind the camera.

In addition to I Am Kathalan, Girish and Naslen are set to reunite for Premalu 2, a sequel to their blockbuster rom-com, which is slated for a 2025 release. Naslen also has several other projects in the pipeline, including Khalid Rahman's Alappuzha Gymkhana, Abhinav Sunder Nayak's Mollywood Times, and Tharangam director Dominic Arun's next film, alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan.
