The first look of Indu Lakshmi's sophomore directorial Appuram (The Other Side) is out. Jagadish, actor-director Mini IG and Anagha Ravi play the leads in the film, which recently got selected for the International Competition category at the upcoming 29th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). Appuram is among the two Malayalam films apart from Fasil Muhammed’s Feminichi Fathima (Feminist Fathima) to be picked to compete in this category.

Appuram is produced by Indu Lakshmi and Ravi Sreedhar. It has cinematography by Rakesh Dharan, editing by Appu N Bhattathiri, and music by Bijibal. Interestingly, the trio has also been credited as the co-producers.
