The makers of Joju George's directorial debut Pani, scheduled for release on October 24, have unveiled the film's trailer. It opens with a conversation between a man and a woman, who discuss how men are not always what they seem. This is followed by a shot of Joju’s character Giri loading a shotgun on a deserted road in the middle of the night. The next few glimpses establish Giri as a menacing gangster in Thrissur, causing trouble for the police. The trailer also introduces a rival gang, suggesting a tense game of cat and mouse and promising an action-packed gangster drama.
Besides Joju, Pani also features Abhinaya and former Bigg Boss contestants Sagar Surya and Junaiz in the lead roles. Playback singer Abhaya Hiranmayi, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shankar, and Rinosh George, are also part of the film’s cast. Its technical crew includes editor Manu Antony, composers Sam CS and Vishnu Venu, and cinematographers Venu and Jinto George. Pani is produced by Joju’s own production company, Appu Pathu Pappu Productions, in collaboration with AD Studios and Sree Gokulam Movies.
Joju, last seen in Malayalam in Aaro, is also part of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan's Thug Life, Suriya’s upcoming film Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and Anurag Kashyap’s next directorial.
